Process of Renewing an Election Administration Plan

The steps in the process of adopting a renewed Elections Administration Plan for the Voter's Choice Act

Step 1

Draft Election Administration Plan (EAP) Renewal released for review for a 14-day public consultation period.

The 2024 Draft EAP Renewal was released for public review on July 12, 2023.

Step 2

Publication of a 10-day Notice of Public Hearing for the consideration of the Draft EAP Renewal. The Public Hearing will be held virtually and can be joined by phone or with the Zoom link to be provided.

The 10-day Notice of Public Hearing was released on July 31, 2023

Step 3

The Public Hearing will take place in accordance with the 10-day Notice and will mark the end of the public comment period. The Agenda and information to join the 2024 Public Hearing will be published on this website.

The Public Hearing was on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. The hearing was conducted on Zoom accessible online or by phone.

Step 4

Notice and publication of an amended version of the Draft EAP Renewal for a 14-day public comment period.

Step 5

At the end of the 14-day public comment period, Yolo County Elections submits the renewal of the Election Administration Plan to the California Secretary of State for approval.
