Candidate Filing Appointment Schedule

The Yolo County Elections Candidate Filing process has changed to issuing and filing nomination documents in-person by appointment. All nomination documents must be filed no later than August 7, 2020 by 5:00 p.m. Candidates running for city offices must file with their City Clerk and should contact the City Clerk office for appointments.

The 2020 Candidate’s Guide for the General Election is intended to provide general information for candidates and committees and does not have the force or effect of law, regulation, or rule.

Measure Argument-Rebuttal Signature Statement

An Argument and/or Rebuttal shall not be accepted unless it is accompanied by a signature statement with the printed name(s) and signature(s) of the person or persons submitting it, or, if submitted on behalf of an organization, the name of the organization and the printed name and signature of at least one of its principal officers. No more than five signatures shall appear with any Argument or Rebuttal. In case any Argument or Rebuttal is signed by more than five persons, the signatures of the first five shall be printed. Measure Authorization to Sign Rebuttal Form

The authors of the argument may prepare and file a Rebuttal Argument or may authorize in writing any other person or persons to prepare, file or sign the Rebuttal Argument. Written authorization must specifically designate the name of the substitute signer and must be signed by the original signer. [Elections Code §§ 9167, 9285, 9317, 9504]
