Poll Workers Needed for the March 3rd Presidential Primary Election

Woodland, CA – The Yolo County Elections Office is looking for poll workers to run the polling places for the March 3rd Presidential Primary. In order to be a poll worker, you must be available to work on Election Day from 6:00 a.m. until all tasks are completed (around 9:00 p.m.), have transportation to and from the polling place, and be willing to attend a mandatory training prior to Election Day.

 

“We are in particular need of those who are multilingual. The most critical language needs are Spanish, Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin), and Korean, but other language needs include Punjabi, Russian and Tagalog”, explains Jesse Salinas, the Yolo County Assessor/Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters.

 

Poll workers are compensated with a stipend for the entire day, depending upon their role.  Precinct Inspectors are compensated $155 and Judges are compensated $130, with an additional $20 for attending the training and $10 for bilingual pay.
