Candidate Filing Appointment Required
The candidate filing period for the 2020 General Election begins July 13th and ends August 7th. Those wishing to declare their candidacy are required to make an appointment with the Yolo County Elections Office to obtain and turn in the applicable paperwork. Candidates for city offices must obtain and file their nomination papers with the appropriate City Clerk.
Interested parties can schedule an appointment online using our scheduling system: https://yolocountyelections.as.me/ or by calling the Elections Office at (530) 666‑8133. Please note walk ins will only be accepted if staff are available and there is no conflict with already scheduled appointments. Candidate nomination paperwork may be may be downloaded from the Candidate Services section on our website at www.yoloelections.org/candidate-services. You can complete and print the forms to bring to your initial appointment.
Candidacy paperwork must be turned in to the Elections Office (625 Court Street, Suite B05, Woodland) by 5:00 pm on August 7, 2020. Any candidate who fails to timely submit the candidate documents with original signatures by the close of the nomination period will not be included on the ballot for that office.
