NOTICE is hereby given that measures will be submitted to the voters of Yolo County at the Presidential Primary Election to be held on March 5, 2024.

MEASURE MCITY OF WOODLAND
Shall the measure authorizing the City of Woodland to accept at least $300,000,000 in federal and state contribution, or up to 99% of the project costs, to provide flood control for the City of Woodland and authorizing construction of the Lower Cache Creek Flood Risk Management Project, as outlined in the measure, be adopted? To pass, a majority (50% + 1) of the votes cast by City of Woodland voters must approve the measure. If you desire a copy of the Measure, please call the City’s elections official at (530) 661-5806, or the Yolo County Registrar of Voters at (530) 666-8133 or (800) 649-9943, and a copy will be mailed at no cost to you. Rebuttals to the direct arguments for or against the measures may be submitted to the City of Woodland City Clerk, 300 First Street, Woodland, (530) 661-5806, no later than 5:00 p.m. on December 7, 2023. No rebuttal to a direct argument shall exceed 250 words in length. Signers of the direct argument may authorize an eligible person to sign the rebuttal argument in their place. The legislative body, or a member or members of the legislative body authorized by that body, or an individual voter who is eligible to vote on the measure, or bona fide association of citizens, or a combination of voters and associations, may file a written argument for or against any city measure. Rebuttal arguments must be submitted with the Yolo County Ballot Measure Argument Form for the signers and the Yolo County Ballot Measure Rebuttal Argument Consent Form if a direct argument signer is authorizing someone else to sign in their place. |
MEASURE NDAVIS JOINT UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
To improve City services, such as law enforcement, parks, youth/senior services, and street repair, and for general government use, shall a measure be adopted enacting a tax on cannabis businesses up to 10% of gross receipts, until ended by voters? To pass, two-thirds of the votes cast by Davis Joint Unified School District voters must approve the measure. Rebuttals to direct arguments for or against the measure may be submitted to the Yolo County Elections Office, 625 Court Street, Suite B05, Woodland, (530) 666-8133 no later than 5:00 p.m. on December 7, 2023. No rebuttal to a direct argument shall exceed 250 words in length. Signers of the direct argument may authorize an eligible person to sign the rebuttal argument in their place. The District’s Governing Board or any member or members of the Board authorized by the Board, any individual voter who is eligible to vote on the measure, any bona fide association of citizens, or any combination of such voters and associations may file a written argument for or against the measure. Rebuttal arguments must be submitted with the Yolo County Ballot Measure Argument Form for the signers and the Yolo County Ballot Measure Rebuttal Argument Consent Form if a direct argument signer is authorizing someone else to sign in their place. |
Recall Election
NOTICE is hereby given that the following recall question is to be voted on at the Presidential Primary Election to be held in the Woodland Joint Unified School District, Trustee Area 2, on Tuesday, the 5th day of March 2024.

RECALL OF EMILY MACDONALD, GOVERNING BOARD MEMBERWOODLAND JOINT UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT, TRUSTEE AREA 2
Shall Emily MacDonald be recalled (removed) from office of Area Two Trustee Seat on the Woodland Joint Unified School District? There shall not be an election for a successor in a recall of a local officer pursuant to Chapter 3 of Division 11 of the Elections Code (commencing with Section 11200). If a majority of the votes on a recall proposal for a local officer are “Yes”, the officer is removed and the office shall be vacant until it is filled according to law. If one-half or more of the votes at a recall election are “No,” the officer sought to be recalled shall continue in office.
