NOTICE is hereby given that the following measures and recall question are to be voted on at the Presidential Primary Election to be held in the City of Woodland or the Counties of Solano and Yolo, on Tuesday, the 5th day of March 2024.

NOTICE is hereby given that measures will be submitted to the voters of Yolo County at the Presidential Primary Election to be held on March 5, 2024.

MEASURE M

CITY OF WOODLAND

 

Shall the measure authorizing the City of Woodland to accept at least $300,000,000 in federal and state contribution, or up to 99% of the project costs, to provide flood control for the City of Woodland and authorizing construction of the Lower Cache Creek Flood Risk Management Project, as outlined in the measure, be adopted?

To pass, a majority (50% + 1) of the votes cast by City of Woodland voters must approve the measure.

MEASURE N

DAVIS JOINT UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
Parcel Tax Renewal Measure

 

To continue outstanding academics in science, technology, engineering, math, reading, writing, arts/ music; attract and retain high quality teachers; support student mental health/ safety; continue athletics, library services, and limit class sizes, shall Davis Joint Unified School District’s measure be adopted, renewing the expiring education parcel tax at the current rate of $768/ year, raising approximately $11,700,000 annually until ended by voters, with adjustments for inflation; senior/ disability exemptions; and independent oversight; for the exclusive use of Davis schools?

To pass, two-thirds (2/3) of the votes cast by Davis Joint Unified School District voters must approve the measure.

Recall Election

RECALL OF EMILY MACDONALD, GOVERNING BOARD MEMBER

WOODLAND JOINT UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT, TRUSTEE AREA 2

 

Shall Emily MacDonald be recalled (removed) from office of Area Two Trustee Seat on the Woodland Joint Unified School District?

There shall not be an election for a successor in a recall of a local officer pursuant to Chapter 3 of Division 11 of the Elections Code (commencing with Section 11200).

If a majority of the votes on a recall proposal for a local officer are “Yes”, the officer is removed and the office shall be vacant until it is filled according to law.

If one-half or more of the votes at a recall election are “No,” the officer sought to be recalled shall continue in office.
