Write-in Candidacy Nomination Period for the June 7, 2022, Statewide Direct Primary Election is Now Open

For the June 7, 2022, Statewide Direct Primary Election, all write-in candidates for county, state and federal offices must submit a statement of write-in candidacy and nomination papers. Prospective write-in candidates should note that write-in candidacy is possible only if the office appears on the ballot. The write-in candidacy nomination period begins Monday, April 11, 2022 and ends Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
If you wish to run for any of these offices, please see the following to complete your nomination paperwork by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022:
- County candidates – file at the Yolo County Elections Office (625 Court Street, Suite B-05, Woodland, CA). Interested parties can schedule an appointment online using our scheduling system: https://yolocountyelections.as.me/ or by calling the Elections Office at (530) 666‑8133.
- State and Federal candidates - file at the Secretary of State’s office or the county elections office where they live.
