PUBLIC NOTICE: Yolo County Releases Renewal Draft of the Election Administration Plan for 14-Day Public Comment Period

The Yolo County Elections Office transitioned to election administration under the California Voter’s Choice Act (VCA) in 2022. The Elections Office has developed a renewal draft Election Administration Plan (EAP) that is now available on our website: 2024 Draft Election Administration Plan (Renewal) — Yolo County Elections Office (yoloelections.org). Public comment on the draft EAP may be submitted over a 14-day public comment period (until Wednesday, July 26, 2023).

In accordance with the Voter’s Choice Act, initial Public Consultation Meetings were held on Friday, May 5, 2023. Following the initial Public Consultation Meetings, the Elections Office incorporated community input and has released the draft renewal EAP on our website: 2024 Draft Election Administration Plan (Renewal) — Yolo County Elections Office (yoloelections.org). The EAP provides information to the voters of Yolo County about the VCA model. It describes the vote-by-mail (VBM) process, Vote Centers and Ballot Drop Box locations and the technology that will be utilized.

A key component of the EAP is the Outreach Plan which is critical to making elections a success. Public comment on the renewal draft EAP may be submitted over a 14-day public comment period (until Wednesday, July 26, 2023).
