Yolo County to Conduct Candidate and Election Observer Orientation and Logic and Accuracy Testing for the May 2, 2023, All-Mail Ballot Special Municipal Election

On Monday, April 3, 2023, the Yolo County Elections Office will conduct a Candidate and Election Observer Orientation, followed by the pre-election testing of the voting equipment, known as Logic and Accuracy Testing, for the City of Davis May 2, 2023, All-Mail Ballot Special Municipal Election. All candidates, groups and individuals are invited to participate.

Both events will be held within the Yolo County Administration Building located at 625 Court Street, Woodland, CA 95695. The day will begin with  the Candidate and Election Observer Orientation at 10:30 a.m. in Room 106. The candidates and election observers will learn what to expect in this upcoming election conducted entirely by mail. The Logic and Accuracy testing of the voting equipment will begin at 1:00 p.m. in Room B-05 (Yolo County Elections Office).

“The Logic and Accuracy Test (LAT) is a verification process that ensures our voting equipment and software are functioning properly. To promote transparency in elections the LAT process and the scanning of ballots are open to the public,” says Jesse Salinas, Yolo County Assessor/Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters. “We welcome visitors to the Elections Office to observe this process.”
