February 18th is the Last Day to Register to Vote for the March 3rd Presidential Primary Election

Tuesday, February 18, 2020, is the last day to register to vote for the March 3, 2020 Presidential Primary Election. You may register online at the https://registertovote.ca.gov/, in person at the Yolo County Elections Office, or with a registration form found at libraries and post offices. Voter registration forms must be filled out completely, signed and postmarked or returned in person to the Yolo County Elections office at 625 Court St., Suite B-05, in Woodland, by 5:00 p.m. on February 18, 2020.

Conditional Voter Registration (CVR) also known as Same Day Voter Registration, begins Wednesday, February 19, 2020. Eligible residents who missed the February 18, 2020 registration deadline may register or re-register and vote using the Conditional Voter Registration process. Conditional Voter Registration will be available from February 19th, 2020 through Election Day at the Elections Office. On Election Day, Conditional Voter Registration will be available at a satellite office located on the third floor of the Memorial Union on the UC Davis campus and at every Yolo County polling place. However, if you need to re-register, the Elections Office encourages you to do so prior to February 18th, 2020.

Voters are encouraged to vote their ballot, sign their Vote by Mail envelope and return their ballots early in order for their ballot to be counted. “There are several options to return your completed Vote by Mail ballot, as we want to make it as convenient as possible for voters,” says Jesse Salinas, Yolo County Assessor/Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters. You can return your Vote by Mail ballot through the postal service, as postage is prepaid for this election. You can drop off your Vote by Mail ballot at the Elections Office or at Library Ballot drop off boxes throughout Yolo County. You may also drop off your Vote by Mail ballot on Election Day at any Yolo County polling place.
