Tuesday, May 24, 2022

The Yolo County Elections Office completed a successful logic and accuracy testing of the voting equipment on Thursday, May 12, 2022. The Elections Office will now begin to process and accept Vote-by-Mail ballot return identification envelopes for the June 7, 2022, Statewide Direct Primary Election.

On Monday, May 9, 2022, all active registered voters in Yolo County were mailed a Vote-by-Mail ballot. The Elections Office will begin the initial processing of the ~6,500 ballots that have been received so far. For voters signed up for ballot tracking that have returned their Vote-by-Mail ballot - you will receive a notification after the signatures have been verified on the return identification envelope.

The Elections Office will continue to process and accept vote by mail ballots during regular business hours, after business hours and weekends if needed. For the most up to date daily times for return identification envelopes processing, please contact the office at (530) 666-8133.

“To promote transparency in elections, scanning and processing ballots is open to the public,” says Jesse Salinas, Yolo County Assessor/Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters. If you are interested in observing, please email [email protected].
