Elections Office to Begin Logic and Accuracy Testing and Vote-by-Mail Ballot Processing

October 12, 2020

The Yolo County Elections Office will begin logic and accuracy testing of the voting equipment on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.  This test will be immediately followed by the processing of Vote-by-Mail ballots. Ballot scanning will continue on an ongoing basis through Election Day when results can be tallied and reported at 8:00 p.m. on November 3, 2020. The Logic and Accuracy testing alongside the processing of the Vote-by-Mail ballots will occur at the Yolo County Elections Office located at 625 Court Street, Suite B05, Woodland, CA 95695.

“The Logic and Accuracy Test (LAT) is a verification process that ensures our voting equipment and software are functioning properly. To promote transparency in elections the LAT process and the scanning of ballots are open to the public,” says Jesse Salinas, Yolo County Assessor/Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters. “We welcome visitors to the Elections Office to observe this process.”

Please note, due to the spacing in our office we must limit the number of members of the public that would like to observe. Members of the public will be admitted as long as COVID-19 safety precautions (face coverings and social distancing) are adhered to. Any interested parties must RSVP to [email protected] by October 17, 2020.
