Candidate Filings - May 2, 2023, All-Mail Ballot Special Municipal Election

List of candidates who have obtained and/or filed candidate paperwork with the City of Davis City Clerk to fill a vacancy in City Council District 3 (2019 boundaries). The Nomination Period is from January 9, 2023 through February 3, 2023. Because this is a vacancy, there is no incumbent. As a result, there is no extension to the nomination period. If the number of qualified candidates is met or is fewer than the number of open positions, there is no election as the candidate(s) who filed by the end of the nomination period will be appointed in lieu of election. Cities make that determination for city positions in accordance to California Election Code section 10229.
