Voter Guide for November 8, 2016

Presidential General Election

CITY OF WOODLAND, CITY COUNCIL MEMBER - DISTRICT 4

Enrique Fernandez

CITY OF WOODLAND
CITY COUNCIL MEMBER, DISTRICT 4
ENRIQUE FERNANDEZ
Occupation: Law Clerk / Former City Commissioner
Local government functions best when good people are engaged in
the civic life of their community. I will ensure that the City adequately
engages residents on the issues that impact them, so that residents
have a chance to participate in the decision-making process. Whether
the City is addressing the issue of homelessness or the creation of new
jobs or investments in infrastructure, small businesses, or in our youth,
elected officials must reach out to the people for guidance.
I was raised by a police officer and a Woodland school teacher. I was
taught to value public service. I have served as a City Commissioner
and as a member of the General Plan Update Steering Committee. I
organize annual food drives and award an annual leadership scholarship
at Pioneer High School.
I graduated from Pioneer High, earned a B.A. in Legal Studies from
UC Berkeley, and received a law degree from UC Davis School of Law.
I have been employed as a licensed insurance broker, a community
organizer, a football coach, and a legal assistant for the Department of
Homeland Security. Currently, I work as a Law Clerk at a Sacramento
law firm.
