Bernie Sander's call for reforming wealth inequality inspires me.
I favor strong vibrant city governments; I oppose a city charter which
allow council members to: set their own salaries; raise taxes; award
friends No Bid contracts; give away city resources, without voter
I support democratic transparent government; our election system
does not provide district representation; works against middle class;
favors the 1% by making city council races more expensive.
I favor sensible, fair taxation; not the proposed frivolous ¼ cent tax
that duplicates bureaucracies. Early childhood education makes good
sense, but why is the city operating programs that duplicate school
district services? This is wasteful; disrespectful of taxpayers.
It makes no sense to criminalize our youth by staining them as gang
members- just to help the city's budget. We need to get rid of the gang
injunction that discriminates amongst West Sacramento neighborhoods;
instead we need At-Risk Youth programs which prevent gangs. Not
more jail cells.
As a fresh independent voice, it would be an honor to represent you.
