Voting in Person in Yolo County

If you would like to serve as an Election Worker at Vote Center, please visit our "Be an Election Worker" page. Bilingual applicants and applicants with disabilities are encouraged!

What can you do at Vote Centers in Yolo County?

Friendly, trained Election Workers who are ready to help you:

  • Cast a live ballot by putting it directly into a ballot box at the Vote Center (VC).
  • Drop off a voted vote-by-mail ballot for yourself or as an authorized agent of someone else's voted vote-by-mail ballot.
  • Receive bilingual assistance. Yolo County uses a telephonic interpreter service when no bilingual staff member is available.
  • Mark a ballot privately and independently using an ADA-accessible ballot-marking device. The ballot marking device is available to anyone. The ballot marking device has an audio ballot and features to assist voters with low vision and dexterity issues that hinder marking a paper ballot with a pen.
  • Pick up a replacement vote-by-mail ballot for yourself.
  • Pick up a replacement envelope for your vote-by-mail ballot.
  • Register to vote and cast a “conditional voter registration” ballot. Conditional voting, sometimes called same-day registration, is for people who missed the voter registration deadline.
  • Update your voter registration. We rely on voters to keep their information up to date or let us know if they are receiving someone else's election mail. Voters must update their voter registration information whenever they move, change their name, or change parties.
