Voter Registration

How to register to vote or change your registration

The last day to register to vote is 15 days prior to an election.

You must be registered in the county where you live. If you move or change your name you must re-register.

There's more than one way to register:

  • Pick up a registration card at any of several locations. Click an address to get a map and driving directions.
  • Fill out the California On-line Voter Registration form at the Secretary of State's web site. If you have a valid California driver's license or state ID, your registration will be forwarded directly to our office with your signature automatically appended. Otherwise, a registration card with your information will be printed and mailed to you for you to sign and return.
  • If you are in the military or overseas you may download and fill out the Federal Post Card Application form at the Federal Voter Assistance Program web site.

If you have any questions please call the Yolo County Elections Office at 530-666-8133 or 916-375-6490, or E-mail the Yolo County Elections Office at cntyclrk@yoloelections.org.
